Free Closed Syllable Game: Mastering the Short Vowel Sounds

Most kids just adore puppies and I created this fun, free board game to enchant even the most discouraged readers.  Players roll a die, work around the board, and select cards with missing vowels.  If the vowel landed on helps to make a word when used with their card, the player gets a puppy!  The winner is the first player to collect all the puppy cards. My students just love this game and they quickly learn their short vowels. It's also a nice activity to use for the introduction of words with a single closed syllable.
